On Building the AI Factory Narrative

One of my favorite projects at lakeFS was developing the "AI Factory" strategic narrative. The concept was simple but powerful: just as the Industrial Revolution transformed manufacturing through factories, AI is transforming how organizations build and deploy intelligence.

The narrative worked because it gave technical buyers a mental model to understand data versioning in the context of their broader AI infrastructure. It wasn't about features—it was about helping them see where they were going.
